These events were the main fundraising ventures for the Auxiliary.

The election of new office bearers for 2023/24 was held with:

  • Janice Ward re-elected as President;
  • Libby Plumley elected as Vice President;
  • Gillian Wall elected as Secretary;
  • Gail Smith elected as Assistant Secretary;
  • Rob Nash elected as Treasurer;
  • Gail Smith elected as Assistant Treasurer; and
  • Libby Plumley elected as Publicity Officer.

Outgoing secretary, Lyn Freudenstein was thanked for her service as the Auxiliary’s Secretary for the past 15 years.

The highlight of the meeting was the awarding of badges for long service.

Mrs Tilla Davidson was awarded her 20 year service badge by Liane Preinbergs, the Auxiliary’s regional representative.

Tilla’s son Christopher and his wife also attended the presentation. Liane travelled from Tumut to attend the meeting.

Marianne O’Toole and Janice Ward were awarded with badges for 15 and 10 years respectively.

The Young Hospital Auxiliary would welcome new members, and invites anyone interested in contributing to the local hospital to attend one of their meetings held the first Thursday of the month at 10:30 am at the Young Services Club.
