The Young Regional School of Music (YRSM) is preparing for a very different term 2 in the wake of strict guidelines during the current coronavirus crisis.
YRSM CEO Matt Bolger said the school has been quickly responding to health and safety guidelines with staff and broader community health its highest priority. “All of my staff are now successfully working from home and are busy preparing to offer the best of online music tuition commencing in Term 2”, Mr Bolger said. “Parents, students and community have been so supportive of YRSM over our 36 years of very proud music tuition delivery and I know I speak for all Board and staff we are truly grateful for community understanding while we prepare for this change”.
YRSM recessed lessons for the last two weeks of term one to allow staff time to prepare their studios and the transition into online delivery.
“We all know and understand the importance of having music in our lives and the amazing YRSM tutors will be ready and able to deliver. They are all working together, sharing ideas, helping each other out working out the best way to deliver to our students,” Mr Bolger said.
“These times are changing, but the joy of music never changes.”
YRSM is in its 36th year of operation and services the music education needs of the Hilltops region. YRSM offers music tuition on an individual, shared and ensemble level and supports and teaches students of all ages and ability to experience the joy of music.
The schools motto is “Learn Music, Love Music, Love Life”.
