The Young Society of Artists Inc is preparing for a jam-packed summer program and they have invited anyone interested in visual arts to join in the activities.
Entry forms are now available for the 15th annual Sculpture Wood and Big Art Exhibition and for the Children’s Portrait Exhibition.
The subject for the children is a portrait painting of a friend, family, animal, or hero.
Entry forms for both exhibitions are available from the Southern Cross Cinema, Young Town Hall, and Young Visitors Centres.
All entry forms are due in late February.
Both exhibitions will be a part of the Hilltops Off the Beaten Track Art and Cultural Trail.
The Sculpture Wood and Big Art Exhibition officially opens on March 7 at 7 pm in the Young Town Hall and will remain open for five days only due to the State elections.
YSA’s Art Room will reopen on March 16 from 11 am to 2 pm, with entry via the gate from the rear car park at Southern Cross Cinema. All newcomers and enquiries are welcome.
Check YSA’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/100082231006439/ early next month for new opening times for the Art Room, upcoming workshops and updates.
Burrangong Gallery Festival Exhibition is currently open daily at Young Visitors Centre showcasing work by members of the Young Society of Artists Inc.
February 25 will see the first new exhibition for 2023: the “Hilltops Photography Exhibition”, with guest photographers Maree Myhill, Michael Rhodes, Gail Douglas and members of the Young Camera Club, open with morning tea at 11 am on the railway platform.
Set aside March 8 to 22 for The Hilltops Off The Beaten Track Art and Cultural Trail.
