Young Womens Bowls

THURSDAY BOWLS UP AND RUNNING

Thursday was too good a day to miss out on a game of Bowls. Just for a change, everyone played consistency bowls which was a really good opportunity to practice drawing to the Jack. The player who has their bowl closest to the jack when the end is finished is the one who rolls the jack at the beginning of the next end for everyone to play too. Good fun and good practice.

SUMMER LEAGUE STATE FINAL

Jenny Holt, Ann Gardner and Elsie Hines are the team from Young heading to Blacktown Worker’s Club to compete in the Summer League State Final 2 & 3 March. We wish them the best of luck.

DISTRICT OPEN AND SENIOR FOURS

Will be played at Young Bowling Club on Wednesday 27 February. Teams in the Open section are: Mary Bennett, Jenny Holt, Therese Ruhl and Kate Cooper, and Robyn Tierney, Ann Gardner, Sheila Traynor and Judy Watson. In the Senior Section the team is: Judith Mulligan, Heather Bailey, Margaret Gailey and Elsie Hines.
