At social bowls on Thursday 26th November there was one game of Triples and a game of Pairs played. June Brownhill, Margaret Glasheen and Kathryn Betcher defeated Zita Farrell, Heather Bailey and Judy Watson by three shots. Chris Hancock, Jill Rosen and Therese Ruhl had a convincing win over Chris Hancock (double lead), Pat Walker and Sheila Traynor 27/10. Therese’s team won the club vouchers with the highest margin. Therese and Chris played nice resting touchers.

Further games have been played in the Club Mixed Pairs Championship. Jill and Denis Rosen defeated Jenny and Geoff Holt while Sheila and Cliff Traynor had a win over Meagan Parker and Damien Miller. Also, Judith and Terry Mulligan won their game against Kate and John Cooper. Margaret and Ian Gailey were defeated in the 2nd round of the competition by Elsie Hines and Colin Powell. The score on the last end was even so another end was played giving Elsie and Colin a very close win.

Three teams from Young attended Boorowa Recreation Club’s President’s Day on Saturday, 28th November. Only 12 ends were played before lunch due to the temperature heating up. Winners on the day were a team from Crookwell and the Young team of Zita Farrell, Judy Watson and Elsie Hines were runners-up. It was a very enjoyable day.

The last game in the Summer League competition finished on Sunday, 29th November. Young Cherryettes consisting of Sheila Traynor, Kathryn Betcher and Kate Cooper won Section 1 while Forever Young team of Judith Mulligan, Heather Bailey and Margaret Gailey won Section 2.
