Young Women’s Bowls News

Last Thursday, 10th September, 12 ladies enjoyed a social game of Pairs. Heather Bailey and Margaret Glasheen had a good win over Zita Farrell and Kate Cooper – 26/12; Pat Walker and Margaret Gailey won their game against Julie Alavoine and Sheila Traynor – 22/17 while June Brownhill and Robyn Apps defeated Jill Rosen and Judy Watson – 18/12. It is great to have the Harden ladies join us each week.

The Club vouchers were won by Heather and Margaret who had the biggest margin. The jackpot did not go off.

This Thursday, 17th September, the men and women will combine to play bowls in order to farewell long standing member, Jock Rogerson who is moving to Wollongong. Jock has been a great asset to our Club, volunteering many hours so that the Club functioned well. Please phone in by 12.30pm if you’d like to play.

Entries for the Women’s Club Fours Championship are now open and close on 24th September. The Fours will commence Thursday, 1st October. Already there are 4 strong teams entered.

The District Mixed Pairs Championship will now take place at Cootamundra Country Club, Saturday, 10th October.
