On Tuesday, 28th October 11 women played 2 bowl triples in lovely weather. Robyn Tierney, Heather Bailey and Elsie Hines won by 1 shot against Julie Alavoine, Pat Reid and Kate Cooper while Margaret Glasheen, Jill Rosen and Margaret Gailey won by 2 shots over Margaret Glasheen (double lead), Ann Gardner and Judy Watson. The vouchers were won by Elsie’s team with most number of ends won.

The third round of the 2019/20 Summer League State competition took place at Young Bowling Club on Sunday, 27th October. Results: Section 1: Harden Hawks defeated Young Ones and Coota Cats enjoyed their first win over Grenfell Dynamos. Section 2: Young Cherry Blossoms defeated Boorowa Roses and Grenfell Golden Girls had a win over Harden Hunnies. To date, Young Cherry Blossoms, Harden Hawks, Grenfell Golden Girls and Grenfell Dynamos are on 4 points each with the rest on 2 points.

The first semi- final of the Club Mixed Pairs Championship was played Tuesday afternoon, 28th October with Margo Parker and Damien Miller and Judith and Terry Mulligan competing. Julie and Michele Alavoine have yet to play Sheila and Cliff Traynor. Therese Ruhl and Mark Anderson will play the winners of that game. Happy bowling.
