The Club Triples final was played Tuesday, 24th September. Congratulations to Judith Mulligan, Heather Bailey and Margaret Gailey on winning 18/12 against Jill Rosen, Ann Gardner and Julie Alavoine.

While the final was being played, 4 ladies played pairs. Joy Murray and Elsie Hines enjoyed the game against Pat Reid and Kate Cooper to win by 5 shots.

Several teams from Young competed at Cootamundra Country Club Wattle Time Tournament on Wednesday and Thursday last week. This tournament is very well attended by teams from around the state. The Club’s very own Elsie and Geoff Hines won the tournament with 4 wins and a margin of 38. A great effort.

Grenfell Women’s Bowling Club played host to President’s Day on Saturday, 28th September. It was a fun day for those attending as club uniforms were replaced with wearing black and bling! There certainly was some glamour on the green!

The Bland Creek Mixed Triples tournament was played at Stockinbingal on Sunday, 29th September sponsored by organic pig growers, Stockinpiggle. Another fun day and lovely food. The team from Young consisting of Margaret Gailey, Heather Bailey and Ian Gailey finished 4th out of 14 teams.

On Monday, 7th October, a tournament will be held at the Young Bowling Club sponsored by farmers and graziers. Single entries are accepted and the entry form is on the noticeboard.
