YSA Hosting December Events

The Young Society of Artists inc. are proud to present 2 special events in December as a part of the community driven activities to promote tourism during the cherry harvest.

Locals and visitors are invited to view the new “Hilltops Cherry Time Art Exhibition,” opening on the 27th of November 2021 in Burrangong Gallery at the Young Visitors Centre.

This exhibition of fine and 3D art will be on display throughout December and open daily until the 29th of January 2022.

An open-air market day, pop-up art exhibition and live music will be staged on the Young Railway Platform on the 4th of December 2021.

This is for one day only and will run alongside the Farmers Markets from 9am to 3pm.

On the platform, there will be a variety of art works for sale, including carved wood, china, paintings, sculptures and fine art by well-known local artists.

There will be live music through the day by versatile vocalist Judy Barker, who will play a range of songs from jazz to R&B, musical theatre to pop as well as original material.

Very talented pianist Riccardo Barone will also be accompanying Judy for a set. Both Judy and Riccardo are tutors at the recently renamed Young Regional Conservatorium.

If you are in town to vote on the 4th of December then don’t miss this “one day” event and the opportunity to Christmas shop locally.
