The Boorowa Christian Women’s Quilting Group is the brainchild of the Boorowa Uniting Church.

The small group, which is made up of Ruth Waddell, her sister Jo Hession from Cowra, Kim Rogers and Karen Smith have spent the last couple of months making lap-sized quilts for Burrowa House and the Boorowa Hospital.

In total eight quilts were made using techniques such as applique and patchwork.

Monday 18th July 2022, Uniting Church Lay Minister, Bronwyn Fickel presented the quilts to Judy-Ann Stokehill, Manager, Burrowa House and Burrowa House residents.

Judy-Ann thanked the Church for the quilts saying, “The residents would like to thank the Uniting Church for the beautiful, hand-made quilts, the residents were over the moon.”
